And then they find each other again after a decade of different lives, their love still strong despite everything that has happened between them; they promise each other that they'll never give up on their love and will never stop striving for the next step in their relationship. Meanwhile, Naina's parents are frantically searching for her. They try to convince her uncle to help them find Naina, but he refuses to help since he can't go against his brother. Her parents travel to India and meet up with Naina's uncle there; they beg him to use his connections in the Indian government in hopes that they will be able to track down their daughter. He doesn't believe that she would run away, especially since she just got married into a prominent family, so he refuses again and demands that the family leave. They reluctantly leave without Naina, only to be informed by an old college friend, Mohammed Dilawar (also known as Mike), that Naina is with him. They immediately rush back to Mumbai in hope that they can find her. A day later, it has been 10 years since Naina and Salim broke up; he is married with two children and has 2 businesses. Salim's sister gives birth to a baby girl after she begins having severe contractions. Her husband begins to panic, so he takes her to the hospital, where she loses the baby. He is devastated and breaks down in tears. Naina's parents ask Mohammed Dilawar to help them find Naina, now married with two children. He reluctantly agrees to help put them in touch with Naina. After receiving the call from Mohammad Dilawan, Naina turns around to find Salim; he confirms that they are indeed each other's second chance at love, and the two embrace each other once more. As they both laugh happily, she whispers softly... "I am so near and yet so far away..."
The film began production in February 2010, but was delayed due to poor shooting conditions. The shooting took place in Mumbai and Goa.
